Carmen Angelica

      Carmen Angelica is a writer, director, and comedian based in New York, NY. A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of Film and Television Carmen has worked professionally as a director, writer and comedian for over a decade.  For the past five years Carmen worked as a Segment Director at (the Emmy winning) The Daily Show. Recently Carmen has been directing Ego Nwodim's solo show at Lincoln Center and Netflix Is A Joke.  Carmen has worked as a comedian and director creating sketches, series, branded content and several short films. Her work can be seen on CollegeHumor, Cracked.com, Reductress, UCBcomedy.com and on the UCB show.
      Carmen's work gained notice online and in the festival circuit leading to her being named a New Faces Creator at Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival.
      Carmen came up in the improv scene at UCB doing improv, writing sketch and directing for their house teams. She had a successful long running solo show that she wrote and starred in directed by Rebecca Drysdale called Who Am I And What The Hell Am I Doing? 
      Her first short film, Tight Spot, that she wrote and starred in was featured as a Staff Pick on Vimeo. Outside of the festival circuit, Carmen’s work has been featured in Entertainment Weekly, TV Guide, Who HaHa, Vulture, and Huffington Post. Carmen is currently repped at Odenkirk-Provissiero Entertainment.
